In 1789<\/strong>,during the French Revolution, le Parc de la Briantais,originally part of the property, became\u00a0 ,for a while, part of the National Property.<\/p>\n

In 1803<\/strong>, Jacques-Wulfren Eth\u00e9art acquired the property\u00a0 at auction and sold it\u00a0 in 1811 . Since that time and until\u00a0 1858, the captaincy was\u00a0 successively owned by different noblemen :\u00a01818, Charles Joseph P\u00e9rier de Hauterive, captain of the National Guard, then\u00a0 Jacques Sully-Brunet,\u00a0 counselor at court,\u00a0 in 1838.<\/p>\n

In 1858<\/strong>, Eug\u00e8ne Sully-Brunet,inherited the property end built the actual manor of la Briantais.<\/p>\n

From 1888 to 1936<\/strong>, the captaincy belonged to the La Chambre \u2018s\u00a0 family and\u00a0 fell under German occupation during the second World War .Finally, in 1907, Guy de la Chambre\u00a0 bequeathed the property to the Diocese.<\/p>\n

In 1989<\/strong>, Mr &Mrs Guerit\u00a0 acquired the former Tertre Richard called Le Clos Morin\u00a0 and the city of St Malo acquired the Parc de la Briantais\u00a0 with its castle .<\/p>\n

In 2017<\/strong>, the property,\u00a0 that still belongs to the\u00a0 Guerit family\u00a0 was totally refurbished\u00a0 and opened in June as\u00a0 a luxury bed and breakfast[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
